Goals

Fundación DEFENDIA, based on its statute, dedicates its work to fulfil the following purposes:

1. Encouraging new initiatives for research, advocacy, dissemination, training and education of the human rights protection and defence of individual and group liberties.
2. Enhancing the socio-economic development of geographical areas, sectors and less privileged groups, following the priorities for action set by the European Commission and international agencies, starting with the basic premise of equal treatment and contribution to sustainable development.
3. Promoting research to prevent new forms of terrorism and crime.
4. Promoting study of new training requirements for protection, defence, rescue and security groups.
5. Promoting the fight against fraud and best practices in international transparency.
6. Contributing to the development of innovative methods for training courses and group trainings.
7. Promoting cooperation with agencies, both public and private ones that are active at national and international level, to contribute to the development of the above mentioned purposes.
